The impressive history of the property dates back to the 19th century and was designed by a Frankfurt architect, originally as a private residence for a German industrialist. Emperor Wilhelm II and the Dutch royal family were among the most important guests at that time.

Schloss Lieser has been extensively refurbished in recent years and converted into a luxury hotel. The aim was to ensure that the hotel would meet the expectations of a new generation of luxury tourists while respecting the history of the building. In total, Schloss Lieser has 49 stylishly furnished hotel rooms and suites, including the splendid Emperor’s suite with a size of 125 sqm. Another special feature is that all rooms are located in the historic buildings, rather than modern additions: 42 of the guest rooms are located in the castle itself, seven in the adjoining coach house. In addition, the castle houses four high-quality restaurants, a bar and a wine cellar, which also enjoy great popularity with external guests. A spacious spa area, an underground car park, its own helicopter landing pad, as well as the preserved castle library give the castle a special character.
