gfp: Those are decent yields on your corporate and muni bonds. Compared to current yield rates on new issues. I was thinking more about avoiding US Treasury debt that pays less than 2%. The Dollar debasement is just too great to accept yields that low. I'd rather own KGC with it's 1.2% yield than a US TReasury offering the same yield or lower. As the miners pile up cash there will be a trend toward starting a dividend pay out or increasing the current payout for those larger companies that already offer a dividend. The election just got mopre complicated with Ginsberg's death. A 4-4 outcome in the Supreme Court, if it gets that far, would result in the election being a stalemate. Then it goes to the House. And most Americans don't realize how that works. The House does not have 435 votes. It has 50. Each State's Congressional Deleagtion has ONE VOTE. So California, with 45 Democrats and 7 Republicans gets one vote. Rhode Island, which has 1/33 of the population of California, gets ONE VOTE. So even if the House stays Democrat they are unlikely to win a Presidential Election becasue the Republicans still control more States. And if the result of a House Election is the reelection of trump despite the House still being run by Democrats....the riots of the past few month will seem tame by comparison.
