not sure how to connect the dots here, but here's my DD based off what you found.

https://lookup.icann.org/lookup shows that the domain was registered by mql5 on 2017-07-22.

when i use wayback machine, which is an internet archive of websites, the latest working version of the original version of searchlightscientific.com i can pull up is from 2016-04-09 (https://web.archive.org/web/20160815000000*/searchlightscientific.com)

the next working version on 2017-09-20 (after the mql5 domain registration on 2017-07-22) starts redirecting to the current mql5 version that we see now via a HTTP 301 response (https://web.archive.org/web/20170917193835/https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/mt5/statistics?utm_campaign=redirect&utm_source=statistics)

i guess my question is: this redirect seems to have happened back in 2017 already, why would it only start to become relevant now?
