Mr. Mah, served as Director of Weapons Design & Manufacturing at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Mr. Mah serves as Associate Laboratory Director of Nuclear Weapons Engineering and Manufacturing. In this capacity, he is the senior executive responsible for overseeing the engineering and manufacturing aspects of the nuclear weapons program in fulfillment of the stockpile stewardship mission at Los Alamos. Mr. Mah has management oversight of the Nuclear Materials Technology Division, the Engineering Sciences and Application Division and the Integrated Product Team for Pit Manufacturing. He is a registered professional engineer through the State of California. He received the Laboratory Distinguished Performance Award and the DOE Award of Excellence in acknowledgement of his management and engineering accomplishments. He has also been recognized for his commitment to employees with a Diversity Award and an Outstanding Mentor Award.
Mr. Mah received a B.S. in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and an M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign.
Dr. Konrad Krakowiak
Konrad J. Krakowiak, PhD holds an Assistant Professor position, in the Civil and environmental Engineering Department (CEE) and he is a director of the SERC Civil and Environmental Engineering Facility at University of Houston (UH). His current research activities include advanced experimental analysis and modeling of cement-based materials under thermo-chemo-mechanical loads including high temperature and pressure, cement geochemistry, development of novel reduced-aging and carbon neutral cement-based materials, and the effect nuclear radiation on the physical and mechanical properties of calcium-silicate-hydrates. Results of his research on chemo-mechanical analysis of cementitious materials, from the nano-scale to the macro-scale of engineering applications, has been published in various journals including Cement and Concrete Research, Nature Communications, and recently Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He is an active member of the TRB committee on Basic Research and Emerging Technologies Related to Concrete - AFN10.

Nevan Clancy Hanumara
Dr. Hanumara is a Research Scientist in MIT Mechanical Engineering's Precision Engineering Research Group and he helped launch the MIT Tata Center for Technology + Design. His research and teaching focuses on human-centered mechanical design, with application in medical settings, emerging markets and anywhere persons and machines interact. He co-instruct the MIT Medical Device Design course, which fosters clinical-engineering collaborations to prototype new medical device technologies. Nevan works internationally and is a proponent of entrepreneurship as a mechanism for technology commercialization. He is the part-time COO of Raydiant Oximetry, Inc., which is developing a non-invasive fetal oxygen monitor for use during labor and delivery, and an advisor to Vidahora SL, which provides B2B wellness promotion services. He also co-teaches design thinking workshops that help companies strengthen cultures of innovation.
Nevan holds a PhD and MS in Mechanical engineering from MIT and a BS in Mechanical Engineering and BA in French from the University of Rhode Island.
