Ask yourself if this makes sense:

"This move [to Tucson] has been on our planning horizon for a number of years"

If this move truly was planned for years, certainly Griffin was told about this when he was offered the CEO spot last year and he knew that before he took the job. Now it is being claimed that the Tucson move (which he must have known about before becoming CEO) is the reason he is no longer CEO as of IMMEDIATELY. Wow, you almost cannot come up with a less-plausible excuse than that one if you tried.

OK, maybe you can. How about "Griffin resigned as CEO because space aliens telepathically communicated with him that CDEx shares would not be listed on the Planet Nebulon stock exchange." - yeah, that's a better excuse.
