WEAC - I owe you an apology
I apologize - we should not have brought the subject of the PI Alt board up this way. I was going to send you an e-mail, but have not gotten around to it. So, if you allow me, let me tell you my issues with the board.
1) I have just been too damn busy. My work takes me out of town and I have been on the road nearly every Mon - Fri for a couple of months. That leaves me only the evening to log on (my weekends are now full of things I used to do during the week) and see what is happening. By then, I am too tired to fight with anyone, let alone conservative radicals. But, if you notice, you will see that I haven't posted anywhere lately.
2) I hate the MSN format. You have to wade through a bunch of messages that you have already read to get to the ones that you have not read. It is cumbersome. Also (and meme mentioned this one) - when a thread is started by a conservative, I usually don't bother reading it because it is normally some anti-democratic, anti-liberal post that I just don't want to bother myself with. And then all of the conservatives patting themselves on the back agreeing with the thread.
3) The board is just too damn nice. Although I don't normally subscribe to hurling insults, every now and then one is warranted. Someone really needs to tell GregfromBoston that he is an arrogant son of a bitch who needs to get a life and do something other than flaming democrats. He is awful. Who the hell gave him the IRL?
If you want to call me a wimp, then so be it, but I think you know me better. I am basically too busy and too tired to spend my time in circular arguments. The fact that they call you a liberal makes me laugh. Don't you think that it says something when every liberal left the board? It has nothing to do with wimpiness.
I know that you worked very hard to set up the board and I am very appreciative of that. I felt that I owed you an explanation. You are an unbiased person whose opinion I respect, although don't always agree with. I can't say that for some of the others there. If I stay, I will tell someone to go to hell, which is not something you want happening over there.
