I have been through many name changes. This always comes up and the average time people answer with is 2 weeks. However I have gone about 2-6 months waiting from the time the "companies" claim they filed for name change. I'm sure there might be a period that they notify "Old" owners and give them time to protest name changes so no one can hijack a ticker and change the name...
