Diwan's strategy is to take advantage of the accelerated FDA approval processes in this pandemic climate to get a systemic (eg pill, as opposed to an external, eg skincream) nanoviricide IND approved and into the clinic. Definitely worth doing. Unfortunately, it seems like the company can't do that and keep progressing the HHV skin cream IND. Disappointing, and it's ammo for everyone pointing out the company couldn't get INDs for over a decade and that this is just history repeating itself.
