One idea I heard floated by them is to grant companies a "field of use license" which would allow KNWN to still use the technology for other applications. Who knows how it will all play out, but IF the buyout rumors are true, that could be one reason they are going ahead with testing before having the final prototype. Perhaps they buyer would then design their own wearable to use the technology on - or ie - if was Apple - they already have a product, right? They could just include this technology into their current product - if that is possible. Not sure if it is possible or not though. I doubt there is much extra room in their watch.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Right now it's just a guessing game and we can only wait and see.
