Is this part of the Tesla Battery Day announcement? If using palladium/platinum catalysts in the battery cathode leads to less weight and less volume... then the battery maker (eg Tesla) can stuff more lithium into the battery I would say. So the next question is... whose extra lithium is Tesla stuffing into these next-gen batteries if they are cutting a deal with LION Battery Tech on Battery Day?
