What's the hurry to transfer a large chunk of equity at a low/undervalued CS SP to preferred raising a nominal amount of cet1 capital thereby limiting the total amount of cet1 capital that may be raised via sale of CS equity at full valuation outside of C-ship? After all, there's no benefit to making a sloppy gift of excessively undervalued equity to settle P's contracts to anyone beyond the fulfillment of a few unrealistic P holders' fantasies when absolutely nothing requires it be done for a release under consent decree.
