its all about money- and both parties like money. look at it like this- once cbd / hemp / MJ is all fully legal with no more FDA / Fed retardation we are talking billions of dollars in profits to banks, credit lenders / CC companies, billions in new source of tax revenue to state / fed, billions in new jobs earnings payouts.
congress will get palms greased right now by banking lobby to push this through. eventually will see a "mj" type of lobby group formed and they will also be greasing congressional palms.
"always follow the big money" - and there is big money in this new "old" industry, which stands to improve everything from health / well-being to supercomputing, home building and auto mfrs- has not even scratched the surface yet. We see no new science coming out of accredited universities / institutions because it is still too gray area, not fed legal, etc etc.. they cannot get grant money for research. all gates open once "fully" legal.
