Its an injection. I read somewhere that a script was 4 single-dose auto-injectors. Not to exceed 8 injections per month.

I have not found solid/trustworthy information about the current prescriptions being written. I think that will come with time. There is a Vyleesi website and there many safe haven remarks that show it is still 'under development'

The duration of efficacy after each dose is unknown and the optimal window for VYLEESI administration has not been fully characterized. Patients may decide the optimal time for VYLEESI administration based on how they experience the duration of effect on desire and any adverse reactions such as nausea (see WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS).

Because clinical trials are conducted under widely varying conditions, adverse reaction rates observed in the clinical trials of a drug cannot be directly compared to the rates in the clinical trials of another drug and may not reflect the rates observed in practice.

Understandably these types of remarks can be found on all drugs, but the one in red is the key take away for me that there is still some work to be done. This is where it will take time.

Maybe that is why $PTN has stalled somewhat. I just don't know.
If you review their last 10Q you can see other cpds that they are currently working on. I know there are others not listed.

It is beyond me why they made the price-tag so high. It may be because they are not using a preservative in their solution. Or a very mild one that breaks down fairly quick. If so that creates the need for constant inventory flushing and replenishing.
