Exactly what Mitch will do in the Senate is tough to know — he really is a black box until he is ready to file (or attach legislation to a must-pass bill)

Many were absolutely shocked when he introduced Hemp Legalization in the Senate (The Hemp Farming Act of 2018) because there was zero telegraphing

I don’t know whether we will see a replay of how things went down with Hemp Legalization

But in case we see something similar from Mitch, let’s recap what happened:

Comer filed Hemp Legalization in the House, attracted only 14 co-sponsors and sent the bill to 3 committees:
