Moderna is in the race, but appears to be having some enrollment issues. Not so with PFE. My guess is PFE will be done by the third week of September. Considering FDA convenes Oct 22nd there is an outside chance Moderna gets it's act together. PFE has been making vaccine for months and is 100 times more experienced with submissions than Moderna, whose experience is ZERO. But Moderna does have Fauci and the Government as allies.

As these vaccines have to be delivered frozen I think you exaggerate Trump's directive. States will have to set up vaccination sites, just like they set up testing sites.
