No, you are the one mistaken, and badly. let's first quote Dr. Fauci on this:

"That does not mean that someone who has hypertension or diabetes who dies of Covid didn’t die of Covid-19. They did,” Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told the program. “So the numbers you’ve been hearing -- there are 180,000-plus deaths -- are real deaths from Covid-19. Let (there) not be any confusion about that."

Take hypertension, for instance. It is manageable condition (I have it), which means you can live to ripe old age with it. Diabetes is similar. It probably will take you to grave before your are 80, but before that there are many years to enjoy.
Applying your logic: I go for a stroll and get killed by stray bullet is no big deal. I would have died of hypertension anyway. Who care if that death would have occurred 20 years from now.
And don't try to put this on CDC. Only thing CDC said was about 94 % of people so far died of covid had serious underlying conditions (i.e. were from known high risk group, like old geezers). Not that they would have died anyway. That claim is yours and your kind.

Despicable!
