08:25 AM EDT, 09/01/2020 (MT Newswires) -- Carnival's (CCL, CUK) Seabourn cruise line will cancel operations of its three cruise ships Seabourn Ovation, Seabourn Encore, and Seabourn Quest through early next year.

The pause is effective through Jan. 3 for Ovation, through Jan. 6 for Encore, and through May 10 for Quest, the company said. Quest guests who will be affected by the cancellations will be re-accommodated in the same suite on the same voyage during the 2021-2022 season. Encore and Ovation guests, on the other hand, will get future cruise credits.

The firm will also debut its newest luxury ship Seabourn Venture in December 2021, it said.

CCL lost 1.7% in pre-market trading on Tuesday.
