I guess I can believe that. I try to stick with the simplest answer, thinking it's the most likely. When I factor in human nature, there's a very good chance you're right.

Besides... I really don't want to cause a bunch of negativity (which I appear to have done) getting folks stirred up about the MM's. I don't believe the MM's intend any malice.. they're just doing what MM's are s'posed to do.
