Lafayette, LA – As Lafayette and surrounding areas recover from Hurricane Laura, Louisiana-based Waitr has stepped up to help with free delivery for anyone ordering from local restaurants. The popular the on-demand food delivery platform is also extending its free delivery on groceries announced before the storm.

Waitr is offering free delivery to help those who can’t get to area restaurants or don’t want to go out; and bring business back to those local eateries who have reopened. Anyone using the app through September 12 can get their food delivered free by using the code “STANDTOGETHER” at checkout.

This free delivery from restaurants follows Waitr extending its offer for free same-day grocery delivery to anyone unable to get to their area grocer … and those wishing to stay at home. Customers can use the code “GROCERY” for that free delivery.

The company is offering a no-contact delivery option for its restaurant and grocery deliveries – allowing for distancing between customers and delivery drivers. Waitr provides masks, gloves and sanitizing spray to all its drivers.
