Positive Stimulus Bill Update

When negotiations started, Senate was at $1T and House at $3.4T

Neither side wanted to budge, so the difference between them stood at $2.4T

Then, House said they would come down $1T if Senate would move up $1T

So House was willing to reduce the cost to $2.4T

Senate said no, they were sticking with $1T

So the difference decreased from $2.4T to $1.4T

Over the past few days, both sides have moved even closer together

The House is now down to $2.2T and for the very 1st time, the Senate (Trump) has increased their offer to $1.3T:

So the difference between the 2 sides has decreased further to $900B

From $2.4T to $1.4T to $900B — that is real progress

The midway point is now $1.9T

I think if and when the midway point reaches $1.6T-$1.7T, Congress will close the deal:

With Trump’s recent comeback in the prediction markets (I expect this week’s polls to show a tightening as well, they are a lagging indicator), Republican Senators are more likely to vote in favor of a bigger deal than they were a few weeks ago:
