WTF? Why am I not surprised that you have never heard of writing naked puts. Nothing illegal or nefarious, a commonly used strategy to acquire stock or simply trade options. And FWIW, it is fact a bullish bet.

I sold those puts, or sold to open the position when the stock was about 105.00 and booked some nice premium. I closed those put or as is know as a Buy to Close trade for less than I sold them for and made a little over 7k in the process. Stock is 162.00 AH.

Sold some 500 Strike puts naked on AAPL today to begin the process of owning some post split. Went way out to Sep 2022 3 contracts for 106.00 and received 31k in premium. I will probably hold those position through expiration. Net basis assuming assignment would be about 98 and change on a post split basis.

Anyway, you guys really need to broaden your horizon away from subpenny trash.
