This might be a very dumb question but if someone has a short position when the short sell is returned does it show up as a sell? For example if someone is shorting 100k shares and the volume is currently 1 million when the shares are returned will it show up on the volume as 1.1m volume? Not really sure how that works just trying to get understanding on it.
