Not so much, I think what you saw was buy the rumor sell the news and when the company said October the news happened and people went to the stock of the day/week

People on the OTC will move quickly to the next one and then come back and jump on board again for the buy the rumor sell the news.

The run up was on the speculation of the merger and then the merger news, the notion that this would stagnate for 6 weeks was the issue as time is money on the OTC so lets jump to the next pump and dump and come back and 6 weeks to push this before the news drops
