Good morning Mikey. I'm in complete agreement with you. I'm a very small fry who has 3 million shares at .0002. I will not buy more in this company because this is a complete crapshoot, and to your point that restructured companies almost always seem to wipe out current shareholders and offer new common shares under the new business model.
I can think of some examples of big names that did it - General Motors, Eddie Bauer, and Six Flags. I'm not entirely sure about Sears, and if their OTC stock is still even trading. We might also see it with JC Penney stock if they find a way to survive. It's dangerous. One of the great success stories was SIRI - it went down to .04 before another company came in and invested in to rescue the shareholders. But....in general, I'm thinking you're absolutely right.
That being said - maybe, like you say, we get a big bump - and that's when you sell half? As you said, lock in profits - be careful.
