I sure hope all the "optimists" are correct and it comes back. But, based on the track record....

Clearly their "product" is more than a code reader - but I took Brew's note as only addressing that portion of qode.

Regarding investment -- I am a long term holder with very low cost - so will continue to hold, even while very frustrated with management and their approach to marketing. Just as an example -- the beta (pilot) COULD have been exciting and valuable. In my view, however, they had a lackluster effort that failed to demonstrate to users and potential customers a REALLY VALUABLE TOOL in qode. It's --- just sad.

I repeat, Brew's explaination is one of the best I have seen here. It is an area of my interest since I have a lot of background, but every time someone responds to questions in this area - they don't address the issues, or try to figure out what is "real". It seems that some folks just want a "blind faith" view, and not listen to anything else.

If one reviews NEOM IP, they are very specific processes and methodologies - as are all software patents. If ScanBuy copied code or used the defined methods - then, yes, they should lose. But, IMO, to think that all the bright software developers can not find other ways of providing these functions, is naive. A good portion of the NEOM "system" consists of commercially available software. Encoding and decoding pictures, translating a picture to barcode, table lookups, etc. are not NEOMs, and have been done for years. Their uniqueness is in specific areas and in their overall system of providing URL to the phone.

On the last point --- qode will NOT become the STANDARD, unless this company does things differently and is much more aggressive in the marketing arena - and if they get their strategy -solid- and quite going backward. As well as all the other challenges with finances and personnel, they really have to get ahead of competition with FUNCTION provided to their customers.
