Christmas is a pagan winter festival adopted long ago as the birthday of Jesus. The real birthday is not known, and besides Pope Gregory changed the calendar a few centuries since. But all that does not matter. And Jesus himself is not a large part of the celebration. Happy Holidays.. In my youth it was "merry chrismus".. or "Chrismus Gif".. the greeting. If we had no turkey, we et Chicken or Pork.. just as tasty. Turnips and yams. Cornbread and dumplins. YUM!! We had left the Haggis back in Scotland.. Me Pa and Me Ma were dedicated Christians..I doubt that it ever occued to them to question any part of the "Gude Book".. Jesus was very real to them.
