Want to engage your brain this morning? This can get you thinking in about a dozen different directions and raise as many good questions. John 8 starting at verse 1----the woman caught in adultery---nothing is said about her repenting of her sin, nothing is said of her being sorry, no forgiveness was ask for------Jesus said He did not condemn her----go and sin no more----that Scripture can make for a lot of personal opinions.....a Scripture that I have read many, many times but never once gave thought to the fact that she did not repent, never asked for forgiveness, never said, I won't do it anymore, never begged for her life, nothing on her part, yet she received forgiveness---- Jesus said He did not condemn her and told her to go and sin no more.....What a subject for a Sunday school lesson, just read the Scripture and open up for discussion------we have to remember also that at this time in history the Holy Spirit had not yet entered everyone's heart---previously God had said that the time would come when He would put in everyone's heart right & wrong, etc, etc.....at this time that had not yet came about. Jesus said that after He left --He would ask the Father to allow the Holy Spirit to come---------Told ya, it would kick your brain in gear----I would love to sit in a round table discussion on this----maybe this is one of those things where there is no right or wrong answers---each answer may open a can of worms---God Bless
