The other day Faithkeeper posted this link with some notable quotes from AT&T. didn't see any further discussion on this. Where is AT&T getting on average 25mbs and is some locations more over copper. Nobody but Rim is claiming those numbers and certainly not for any distance. Most have been reporting numbers at best 5 with 3 more the norm for any DSL variations.

"Our view at this point is that we're not going to have go 'fiber to the home.' We're pleased with the bandwidth that we're seeing over copper," Chief Financial Officer Richard Lindner told a Credit Suisse conference.

"On average, at this point, we're producing about 25 megabits (per second). But in many many locations, we're producing substantially more than that."
