That’s because of the water hammer phenom

It’ll do that for a few seconds, pressure will rise at the nozzle but the flow will decrease, no gain in total energy but power fluctuations at the Pelton wheel. Same phenom as pinching a water hose.

No value added and induced operation stability problems.

Any unit sold yer? Who’s the customer ?
