For now, you are the owner of a non-traded REIT (like owning a privately held company). You still own your shares, just can't buy or sell. Quotes are not allowed to be given so it shows up as zero in your account. It doesn't mean the shares are worthless. I think they could be worth $8 - $10.

I called the company last week. They seemed to have been taken by surprise and will have a public communication soon. My guess is the SEC was just waiting for the latest non-filing to pull the trigger. They need to issue financial statements. My fear is they will delay until after trial but I'm not sure it could be because of the agreement they have with the CPA firm. I am also glad NexPoint is involved. Call the company and demand some answers!
