You calculate projected move with cup or inverted cup formation.
This is one reliable way; remember nothing is guarantee in market. Odds favor it. It is game of probability, you play long enough you could be ahead in the game. That is one reason many professional players do it in Box. You always define box. If I short I always buy calls against that so If I am wrong it would not kill me, If long buy Puts with it.
Always define risk before you enter. I do not do this thing with my NERS trading.
