Do you have family? Yes, I would think that you do. Are you going to be spending time with them on Christmas? Yes, hopefully you are. Christmas is when? Monday, right? Guess what, no trading on Monday, market is closed. So that leaves Tues., Wedns., Thurs., and Fri. to trade. Alot of people are on the road Tues. and Wedns. So that leaves us with Thurs. and Fri. We resume a normal trading week the next week...or is the market closed on New Year's day as well? Doesn't really matter...either way...most people will be so hungover that they won't feel like trading...atleast I can speak for myself. Then tuesday rolls around. And things start to pick back up. Jan. 2. JMO of course. I could be wrong. Things are usually slow around this time of year in general.
