ZZT, a fine post indeed! I think it is clear to most people here that NVEI is staggering on the threshold of collapse, but they feel that publicly acknowledging that would cause harm to the stock so they continue to operate as if everything is "cool". NVEI has fooled shareholders on many occasions before, and they will certainly think of creative new excuses for future failures. Let me tell you why this method is so effective.
When new investors research this stock (like any other) and they see that the company is clearly stating that major success is a mere few months away they will be very tempted to buy into this stock especially if they see that the share price is close to its lows and therefore it must be a good time to get in. Of course all of the existing shareholders over the past few years are royally screwed, but there is a brand new generation of investors ready to open their wallets for that opportunity for easy wealth! Now that NVEI has increased the OS, this game can easily continue for another couple of years.
PS: many people here say that they are "optimistic" and choose to see the glass half full. I think it takes much greater courage and character to see things as they really are, to face the truth and accept it or make changes.
