A New Direction For Venturis Therapeutics? - Part 1

Given that Venturis is dead in the water, has proven it can't raise any money to keep going forward with what it currently has, and is likely to be soon liquidated by its creditors, maybe it's time for some bold new thinking if the ship is to be salvaged.

Maybe Venturis should re-focus its clinical efforts and branding efforts/marketing messages on treatments for alcoholics, re-focusing the company around the Alcoholic Impotence indication and now possibly an indication for End-Stage Alcoholism, to regenerate liver function for alcoholics dying from cirrhosis.

I believe the logic is delicious. In a world where there are so many companies that look and sound like so many others, there's nothing like this out there. According to the CDC, 37 million Americans binge drink once a week. That's a huge market--over 10% of the country, and grossly under-served. <wink>

In the coming weeks (so long as Venturis does not file for bankruptcy), we are going to explore these topics. I've been doing lots of research and am eager to share my findings. It may not be viable because Venturis Therapeutics may not last that long, but where there's life, there's hope. Heck, I'll drink to that!
