Has anybody a clue why the increase of patients in the Lero severe/ critical trial slowed down so much in the last weeks?
The COVID cases are exploding all over the US for several weeks now and we have even more hospitals (e.g. in Texas) which participate in our trial. In my logic the number of patients in our trial should have increased much more within the last weeks, compared to the beginning of our trial.

Afaik Remdesivir is not SOC for severe/ critical patients and there is no other specific new medication available for those patients either. Basically they are treated now more or less in the same way as in the beginning of the COVID crisis (?). Is this right?
So this adds to my questions why is there a such slow recruitment for our trial?
Are there now less severe patients for some reason?
