What seems really ironic is that Texas and Florida have already legalized CBD in Foods, Beverages and Supplements, while NY and CA are still in the stone ages

So why are New York and California, far more liberal states, lagging behind?

The answer is the MJ industry

CBD products derived from MJ can only sell in dispensaries because MJ-derived CBD is a federally illegal Schedule I Drug

CBD products derived from Hemp can sell in any store, because Hemp-derived CBD is federally legal and completely off the Schedule

That’s why the market for Hemp-derived CBD products is so much larger than the market for MJ-derived CBD products

So it’s big competition for the MJ industry, which is a large industry in CA and rapidly growing in NY

If Hemp-derived CBD products are legalized in CA, NY will undoubtedly follow as well

And the top 4 states by population will all be Hemp-CBD legal for Foods, Beverages and Supplements

In the meantime, FDA Enforcement Discretion is finally coming for CBD products

And Mitch is warming up in the bullpen
