BRK's non-insurance businesses generated total net income to BRK of $17.7 Billion in 2019. In contrast, BRK's 10 largest securities holdings paid BRK Dividends totaling $3.798 Billion, and as a group retained earnings totaling $8.332 Billion. Of course the securities also gained in market value in 2019.

The bottom line is that the market is not, and has not ever, fairly valued BRK in terms of its actual intrinsic value. Great to see that BRK has spent literally $$ Billions buying back its own shares this year. In time that will pay off hugely for shareholders.
