With deals of this kind, it's very easy to miss a form or a key person to be sick or on vacation.
And don't forget the typical dip-and-rip. Some players may want to make it look as if the deal is not proceeding, to later have the announcement of the deal. That could be the ultimate "under promise and over deliver."
IMHO
Always, always do you own DD. Only invest funds you can afford to lose and trust nobody but yourself.
