No. Not at all. Very much the opposite, really.

The point is that Kodak had idle infrastructure for producing chemicals as a result of photography moving digital.

QMC has idle infrastructure for producing QDs because they won't make "easy" bulk sales of "the best QD and nanocrystals and nanoparticles."

Kodak pivoted to an industry where their expertise is still relevant because the industry they built their business has pretty much died. QMC's industry is exploding and yet has pivoted for some unknown reason into an industry where they have no expertise, little knowledge, and no competitive advantage.
