My interpretation, from reading the original documents on PACER is that the 3 were never formally charged. The recent termination was of the arrest warrant, not the case itself and they now have been formally charged and now a trial can commence.
I could be very wrong, but this does appear to be the case as there is nothing anyplace that actually states the cases were in fact disposed, and no mention anyplace of fines and/or jail time.
