Short interest and high rate fee is based on what the pps has done since an event that moved the stock in one direction or another.We know it dropped last Sept 19 area when IBB index crushed all the medical stocks.
Much like implied volatility on options,an event on the horizon,or sudden movement in stock/option direction results in an increased percentage in implied volatility. When the stock or option changes course,settles down from the binary event,the rate percentage rate decreases.
TMDI's case,low float-poor volume,declining pps over time keeps the percentage high based on machines reading the movements as to technicals ,9dma,50dma,200dma etc.....
Remember,machines are programmed and do not think.They seek levels up or down on volume and movement.Most every biotech I have ever owned which is around 90% of my past investing experiences show the same pattern with TMDI as all others.Shorts remain attacking the stock,short posters appear on boards getting paid to do so,FUD is rampant along with some political talking points for distraction away from the stock.
McNally is smart.MDT has a small rope on him though.McNally will speak in past tense of things executed going forward.Like you and others have said and know,very soon a PR is going to hit that moves this up a few dollars in one swipe.Just like any other biotech.Then the pps sticks at that level as boredom sets in for the next round of news.
All is good.We all know who the enemy is around here.Longs need to continue to focus on the most wealth to be made.Some play it like a game not understanding that sitting on your hands will make you the most.
