Why does the Reverse Split matter though? If FNMA is worth $2 now and it does a 1:10 Reverse Split, then it's worth $20.

Why would a Reverse Split cause the price to fall down the proverbial mineshaft?

And if the claim is FNMA is worth $50, then it should be worth $500 after a Reverse Split.
