Being a long term investor I’ve only ever tried to identify a trend using charts. No one in my 40 years plus with my investment firm (analyst) has ever used charts as a thesis for a recommendation. If you believe that eventually the markets become efficient then they will recognize the value of a company. I happen to agree completely with your post. And those who get hung up on charts will never reach the full potential of a stock.
