PDSB Biotechnology and Farmacore Biotechnology announce co-development of the COVID-19 vaccine.


Vaccine The rapid advance of this joint program for COVID-19 extends to a previously announced research and development collaboration between PDS Biotech and Farmacore to develop a Versamune®-based tuberculosis vaccine.

The PDS Biotechnology Corporation (Nasdaq: PDSB), an immunotherapy company in clinical stage developing new cancer therapies and vaccines against infectious diseases based on Versamune® , a patented technology by the company for the activation of T cells, announced contract development with Farmacore Biotechnology for Versamune®-CoV-2FC, a vaccine using Versamune® that aims to prevent infection by COVID-19 .

Project
In this collaboration, PDS Biotech and Farmacore will accelerate the development of Versamune®-CoV-2FC with Phase 1 clinical trials in Brazil. The entities participating in the project, led by the Faculty of Medicine of USP in Ribeirão Preto (FMRP-USP) are discussing with the government for the initial phase of product development in Brazil.

Protein
Versamune®-CoV-2FC is the combination of a recombinant SARS-CoV-2 protein developed by Farmacore with the nanotechnology of the Versamune® platform from PDS Biotech.
