I understand he was arrested in August and was serving 3 months for the crime of using a fake passport/mykads (?), and was deported back to China in November 2019. They say he cooperated with the enforcement because it sounds like he didn't know he was involved in something corrupt, so why hide it? These people were either faking being involved in the government, or there was some sort of corruption going on, which seems more plausible.
It sounds like he's not in any more trouble, but is still potentially involved in this trial in Malaysia. Not sure how involved since he's been deported back to China.
Either way, these articles do not paint him in a way that he was a criminal, other than getting involved with the wrong people. Curious to know how it affected his businesses in China, as it states his company was the biggest defense contractor in China. He also denied he was running from any crimes in China, which is good.
Anyhow, not even sure what JinBo's involvement is in this anymore. Time will tell.
