I'm with Pegasus here (think I've said that quite a few times over the last year)...I blame Rubin. Many of us invested BECUASE of Rubin, and after all this time he pulls out based on issues with the controlling shareholder? Maybe I'm naive, but isn't this something Rubin would have figured out BEFORE buying the shell from Universal Management?? I've bought many shells before, and from multiple custodians. Not all have worked out to be sure. But this one is new to me. I've seen the custodian discover problems that were too great to overcome before they ever sell it on to a buyer, but don't think I've seen the buyer of the shell FROM the custodian then discover a problem with a majority shareholder. But who knows what's really true here. I think it's on Rubin. If he was moving forward with his own beverage company, why hasn't he?? With or without SFIO, why hasn't Betta4UBrands done anything....ANYTHING....over the last year? The soccer players in England. NEOwater. Or the last PR where he mentioned getting into alcoholic drinks. Has ANY of that happened????
I'm bummed about losing money, but have had a great run over the last couple months. I might be more bummed about the amount of time and energy I've invested into this one. And of course that feeling you get as it all comes crashing down, when you look back at everyone who sold before it fell this far. Kudos to all of you who got out before. Well, I did enjoy a lot of back and forth with some great posters on this board, so I'll always have that. Best of luck to everyone here on their current and future picks. I'm sure we'll see each other again on another board.
