explain to me this...

Kosmos had a deal with ERHC, but then had to contest Total.

So they embarked on non-stop litigation for 3 years...they spent, most likely, well over ERHC's market cap at the time in a price range of $.0001 to $.0002, in fighting litigation across the ocean and on two continents and three venues/jurisdictions plus appeals court.

How is that common sense? Or even logical...when the logic so obviously points to Kosmos buying ERHC then and saving all that time and hassle...

...so why didn't Kosmos try to buy ERHC back then? Are they utter morons?

I don't think so.

I bet Kosmos DID try (or at least tried to analyze the feasibility) to buy ERHC back then but was thwarted when ERHC's largest shareholder (despite what the filings say about him diluted to oblivion) Offor (and Offor's friends) said NOPE. Not selling.

If Offor and friends didn't *really* own 50 to 100% of ERHC...then Kosmos would have picked up ERHC for peanuts...

...and Kosmos would've have simply been assigned ERHC's role in its deal with Total. It would have been a sweet deal for Kosmos...but the Offor factor must never be underestimated.
