I recently speculated that KBLB might finalize their S-1 and announce the reverse split today. Neither happened.

Wait a sec. So are you implying that you think Kraig Labs can "finalize" their own S-1? Like, as in deem it "effective"? You DO know that the S-1 is completely out of the company's hands right now, right? That's like me applying for a mortgage loan and telling the bank the date they need to approve it.

The SEC will approve it when they are damn well ready. The thing about S-1's is that 90% of the initial filings have some sort of flaw that need to be amended. This is true for any company, big or small. The only thing Kraig Labs (or any company that files an S-1) has control over is 1) when they file the S-1, and 2) Filing an S-1/a if the SEC requests revisions. To insinuate that the company can "finalize" their S-1 at their discretion means one is painfully ignorant of this process.
