A few things to consider:

- FDA being a big pharma player. Gilead is a bread and butter for some.

- Remdesivir got approval though with more potential side effects and ambiguous and unsubstantiated efficacy- almost anecdotal. I don’t see why in good conscience, or even with potential public outcry, why Leronlimab shouldn’t be approved if the results are overwhelmingly superior.

- Additionally, this was a double blind placebo trial, pretty much a gold standard, AND in a time of a pandemic. This puts a lot of pressure on the fda to reconsider how the process, especially now in a new ‘surge’.


It will definitely be interesting to see what happens.
