Sorry to hear you lost your job. Continuing to hold this stock is a very, very bad idea. If I were in your shoes and there is a sucker out there willing to buy this, I would sell it to them in a heartbeat.

8 years later not one grain of dirt nor blade of grass has been disturbed for this make believe facility that will never be constructed.

5 years ago they've got the permits, massive contracts, everything is good to go and you get 4 years of crickets chirping.
